Bouskoura: head of drug-trafficking network arrested with 28 kg of narcotics
The Royal Gendarmerie of Bouskoura has neutralised the head of a dealers' network, who was sought under eight arrest warrants in Morocco. The suspect used vehicles with false number plates to evade authorities.

Elements of the Royal Gendarmerie from the Bouskoura brigade, in the Casablanca-Settat region, have disabled the head of a drug-trafficking network active in several neighbourhoods of the region, reports fr.le360.ma, citing the daily Assabah in its Thursday 24 September edition.
The individual, originally from the Lissasfa region in the suburbs of Casablanca, was subject to eight arrest warrants in Morocco for various crimes at the time of his apprehension. He had a criminal record and was known to security services.
To evade checks, the suspect resorted to all-terrain vehicles equipped with false registration plates, adapted for driving off-road and on stony tracks. This stratagem allowed him to move about without being identified whilst ensuring the distribution of drug doses to the dealers in his network in different neighbourhoods.
In order to catch him in the act, the gendarmes of the Bouskoura brigade laid a trap for him. The operation resulted in his arrest while he was inside one of his all-terrain vehicles. During the seizure, law enforcement officers seized the vehicle and a quantity of narcotics comprising two kilogrammes of chira, twenty kilogrammes of kif in spike form, and six kilogrammes of tobacco.
Taken into custody, the individual is now at the disposal of an investigation opened under the supervision of the competent general prosecutor's office. Investigations aim to dismantle all the ramifications of the network and identify his accomplices.
