Magistrates at Casablanca's Court of Appeal have decided to release most of the young people arrested during GenZ 212 demonstrations, nine months after they were placed in detention.

Judges in the criminal chamber of the court of first instance attached to Casablanca's Court of Appeal delivered their decision during the night of Thursday to Friday. They ordered the release of the majority of young people who were imprisoned in connection with GenZ 212 gatherings.
These individuals had been held in custody nine months earlier. Upon their release from the correctional facility, they were able to reunite with their families and return home.
