El Jadida provincial security police carried out the arrest of two individuals suspected of selling smuggled fireworks and explosives on Friday evening, according to lareleve.ma.
The two suspects were caught red-handed within the city whilst they held and distributed prohibited pyrotechnic materials. A search conducted by security services resulted in the seizure of 27,500 units of fireworks and makeshift explosive devices intended for illegal sale.
The two suspects were placed in custody as part of a judicial investigation opened under the supervision of the competent prosecutor's office. The investigation aims to establish the full circumstances of the case and to identify any accomplices involved in this criminal network.
