German national wanted by Interpol arrested in Tangier for kidnapping and extortion
Tangier police arrested on Wednesday a 26-year-old German targeted by an international warrant for unlawful confinement and extortion committed in 2021.

Tangier police carried out, on Wednesday 3 June, the arrest of a German national aged 26, according to linformation.ma. The individual was the subject of an international arrest warrant issued by German judicial authorities, as well as an Interpol red notice.
The facts alleged date back to 2021 and concern suspected acts of kidnapping, unlawful confinement, threats and extortion accompanied by violence and intimidation.
The arrest was carried out by Tangier police services in the framework of international judicial cooperation. The suspect is presumed to be involved in these offences committed on German territory.
