Swedish national under international warrant arrested in Agadir by judicial police
According to h24info.ma, Agadir's judicial police arrested a 31-year-old Swedish national on Friday 25 September in the evening, subject to an international arrest warrant. The operation was carried out in coordination with the Directorate General for Territory Surveillance (DGST).
A check of databases during identity verification revealed that the man was listed on an Interpol red notice, issued at the request of Swedish authorities. He is suspected of involvement in an attempted wilful homicide committed in his country of origin.
On instruction from the competent prosecutor's office, the suspect was placed under extradition procedure. The National Central Bureau of Interpol in Rabat, attached to the Directorate General for National Security (DGSN), took charge of the case and notified its Swedish counterpart of the arrest.
