The Kingdom's security services arrested and then transferred to Indonesia an entrepreneur from that South-East Asian country. He had been the subject of an arrest warrant issued by the international criminal police organisation. The operation is part of the resolution of the PT Asuransi Jiwa Kresna affair, a large-scale fraud case overseas.
The individual was taken into custody on 12 March 2026 on Moroccan soil. Rabat approved the extradition request on 12 June. Eight days later, Indonesian officials recovered the fugitive. He returned to his homeland on 21 June, according to media reports from that nation.
Since mid-September 2023, investigators in the archipelago had held him responsible. The charges include violations of securities legislation, fraud, embezzlement of funds and money laundering operations. All these offences are linked to Kresna Life company.
Once back, he was detained and placed under the supervision of the unit responsible for complex economic crimes. Spokespeople for the archipelago's government cite this case as a model of police cooperation between states.
