Ariel Fefer returns to Peru and launches podcast to find mastermind behind his mother's murder

According to Google News PE — Crime, Ariel Fefer—previously known as Ariel Bracamonte—has publicly taken up one of Peru's most remembered criminal cases. Nearly two decades after the murder of his mother, Myriam Fefer, which occurred in August 2006 at her residence in San Isidro, the businesswoman's son announced the launch of a podcast with which he seeks to identify who ordered the crime.
In an interview on the programme Arriba Mi Gente, Ariel explained that he now approaches the case from a different perspective: he claims to have left hatred behind, although he maintains intact the need to know the truth about his mother's death.
The podcast is titled Who Killed My Mother? The Fefer Case and will reconstruct the file from the beginning. It will include interviews with people connected to the investigation and will seek to contrast the different versions that emerged during the judicial process.
Although gunman Alejandro Trujillo Ospina was convicted of the crime, Ariel maintains that it remains to be determined who planned the murder. Among the questions he hopes to answer are who allowed the killer to enter the home and who removed the dog from the room before the attack.
Ariel also reaffirmed that he does not agree with the judicial decision that acquitted his sister Eva Bracamonte and Liliana Castro Manarelli due to lack of evidence. He specified, however, that his objective is to reinvestigate the facts and present all available information, not to directly question the ruling.
He also stated that he hopes to interview the perpetrator of the crime to obtain answers that, in his view, remain pending and that could help definitively clarify the case.
