Colombian murdered in Piura; crime video bears criminal gang seal
Julián Andrés Agudelo Rivera, from Manzanares, Caldas, was shot dead in Rosa de Guadalupe, Veintiséis de Octubre district, in the Piura region. According to lapatria.com, Peruvian media confirmed the attack and the existence of a video that the hitmen themselves filmed during the crime.
In the images, Agudelo Rivera is seen outside a dwelling, next to his motorcycle bearing licence plate 5997-RP. One of the attackers approaches and apparently speaks to him; the conversation cannot be heard because the hitmen overlaid music on the recording. Seconds later, the man opened fire and fled along with his accomplices on a motorcycle.
The victim sustained three bullet wounds. The video bears the logo of criminal organisation Los Chuckys del Norte, a detail that investigators are analysing as part of proceedings to identify those responsible and establish their involvement in the incident.
The crime occurs in the same week that another Colombian, from Manizales, was murdered in Ecuador.
