Ex-police officer riddled with bullets at family gathering in Jicamarca: two dead and one seriously wounded

Attackers fire more than a dozen shots at gender-reveal celebration in Jicamarca

An armed attack during a family celebration in Jicamarca left two people dead and a third seriously wounded, according to infobae.com. Among the victims was Jordan Dolorier, a former member of the Peruvian National Police (PNP), who was attending the gender-reveal party organised by his sister when he was struck by gunfire.

The attack occurred in the early hours, when the gathering had concluded but several attendees remained outside the property conversing. Two men arrived on foot along one of the adjacent streets, entered the premises and opened fire on those in the surrounding area. Latina Noticias reported that the attackers fired more than a dozen shots; the police counted a higher number during initial investigations. Bullet marks remained visible on walls and other areas of the property.

Dolorier died at the scene, lying near the entrance. A second victim lost his life hours later at Vitarte hospital. A third wounded person remained hospitalised at that facility and was fighting for his life at the time of initial reports.

The police are reviewing security cameras to reconstruct the attackers' route and identify those responsible.

Family points to the PNP itself as a suspect

Dolorier's relatives are demanding that authorities clarify the crime and are directing their initial suspicions towards the police institution itself. One of his brothers-in-law stated on camera that suspicion falls on the PNP, based on the former police officer's background and the procedures he was undertaking to rejoin the police force.

According to Dolorier's circle, after regaining his freedom he had begun gathering the necessary documentation to attempt to return to the institution. He had previously served at the Jicamarca police station. His associates question why someone would attack him at that moment, when he was resuming activities and participating in a family gathering.

His relatives also rejected the accusations that had weighed on him in an earlier investigation. According to their version, he was falsely implicated and evidence was planted on him during an operation. These statements correspond exclusively to the testimony of his family and do not allow establishing responsibility in the murder. The family also indicated that his mother was involved in that same police operation.

Previously linked to an extortion gang in Lima Este

The name Jordan Dolorier appeared last year in a police investigation in which authorities identified him as a suspected leader of Los Pulpos del Este, a criminal organisation alleged to have participated in extortion and protection money collection in Lima Este. The investigation linked that group to areas such as Jicamarca, Huachipa and Huaycán.

His relatives rejected the imputations and asserted that the accusations did not correspond with the facts. It was after regaining his freedom that Dolorier began procedures to attempt to rejoin the PNP, according to his circle's statements.

Motive and those responsible still to be determined

The identity of the hired killers, the reasons why they chose that family celebration, and the possible connection between the crime and Dolorier's background are matters that authorities will need to clarify. The relatives insist that the case be investigated thoroughly and that those behind the shooting be identified.

The circumstances of the murder and the motive for the attack remain unconfirmed officially at the close of initial reports.
