In just 40 seconds, two men took a van, a firearm and the identity card of a non-commissioned officer of the National Police of Peru (PNP) during the night in Villa El Salvador, Lima, according to a report by elbuho.pe. The incident was captured by security cameras.
The images show the two suspected perpetrators at the moment of the robbery. According to the Police, those involved used a GPS signal jammer to obstruct the location of the vehicle after the theft.
Despite this measure, a police operation managed to locate the men. During the intervention, an exchange of gunfire took place, after which officers subdued them and recovered the stolen goods.
The Police indicated that those detained would be part of the alleged criminal group known as "Los Cochinos del Sur".
