16-year-old ordered to return to educational facility following fatal beating of "Yankes" fan in Kraków
A family court has ordered a 16-year-old to return to an educational facility in connection with an investigation into the death of a Hutnik Kraków fan. The investigation by the Provincial Police Headquarters in Kraków is ongoing.

Court orders minor's return to facility following death of Hutnik fan
A family court has decided to order a 16-year-old back to a youth educational facility — the suspect is one of those allegedly involved in the fatal beating of a 36-year-old Hutnik Kraków supporter with the nickname "Yankes". According to Google News PL — Crime (pl), the incident occurred on the night of 20 to 21 August, with the investigation being conducted by the Provincial Police Headquarters in Kraków.
On Wednesday, officers brought the minor to family court. The court initiated proceedings against him under the law on support and rehabilitation of minors. During the hearing, no interim measures were applied, and the 16-year-old was released from the children's detention facility.
Revocation of leave and order to return
At the same time, the family court handling a separate case against the same minor revoked a leave of absence previously granted to him from the educational facility. As a result, the boy received an order to return to the facility where he had previously served an educational measure. The court explained that residence in a youth educational facility is round-the-clock and involves isolation, although pupils may periodically make use of temporary leaves.
Specifics of proceedings involving minors
In cases involving minors, formal charges are not presented. The purpose of the proceedings is to establish whether a criminal act has been committed and to determine appropriate measures against the minor. Police officers continue to investigate the circumstances of the beating and the role of individual participants in the incident.
Two men detained, nine previously released
Two adult men have been detained in the case, and their involvement in the attack is currently being investigated. Earlier, police detained nine individuals from the football fan community — all were released, however, due to lack of evidence indicating their direct involvement in the beating. Investigators continue activities aimed at establishing all the circumstances of the death of the 36-year-old Hutnik Kraków supporter.
