26-year-old from Tarnów county remanded in custody on drugs charges
Officers from Tarnów municipal police headquarters detained a resident of the county, aged 26. The man is suspected of accumulating and distributing prohibited substances.
The operation was carried out on Monday 6 July. A lengthy investigative effort enabled officers to locate the suspect's place of residence. During a search of the premises, officers discovered and seized just under three-quarters of a kilogram of plant material.
The detainee was taken to police facilities. The gathered evidence allowed officers to bring two charges against him: possession of a significant quantity of prohibited substances and paid transfer of such substances to other persons.
The offender had previously been convicted of various crimes, including offences against human life and health.
On Tuesday 7 July, the prosecutor's office filed a motion with the District Court in Tarnów for his remand in custody. The judge acceded to the motion and ordered the 26-year-old to be held in detention.
