31-year-old from Gdańsk arrested with several kilograms of drugs and 50,000 zloty
Police officers from Gdańsk police stations shut down a flat in which a 31-year-old was storing significant quantities of amphetamine, hashish, cocaine, marijuana and khat. The black market value of the substances amounts to 150,000 zloty. The man faces up to 10 years in prison.

Officers from Gdańsk units at ul. Platynowa 6F received information about a man keeping illegal substances in his flat in Jelitkowie. Investigators established the identity of the alleged perpetrator and the location of his residence.
The arrest operation was carried out in the evening, just before 7 p.m. Police officers spotted the suspect entering the building and blocked his way at the moment he was opening the flat door. The strong smell of marijuana emanating from the corridor immediately confirmed the validity of the tip-off.
During a search of the premises, officers discovered and seized several kilograms of various narcotics. Among the secured items were over two and a half kilograms of amphetamine, three hundred grams of hashish, one hundred grams of cocaine, one hundred grams of marijuana and several dozen grams of khat. The estimated black market value of the confiscated materials exceeds one hundred and fifty thousand zloty. Additionally, fifty thousand zloty in cash was found in the flat, which was deposited as security towards a future sentence.
Specialists from an investigative and detective unit were sent to the scene. A police technician carried out an inspection, took photographs and secured evidence. The confiscated substances were handed over to a laboratory, where a court expert conducted a detailed analysis of them.
On Saturday, the detainee was taken to the District Prosecutor's Office Gdańsk-Śródmieście. There he was charged with possession of a significant quantity of narcotics. The court applied police supervision and a financial bond against him. The act committed carries a penalty of imprisonment of up to ten years.
