41-year-old man from Gorlice arrested for three months over domestic violence against partner
The District Court in Gorlice has ordered the remand in custody of a 41-year-old man suspected of psychological, physical and economic abuse. He faces up to five years' imprisonment.

Man from Gorlice in custody for abuse of partner
The District Court in Gorlice has decided to remand a 41-year-old resident of Gorlice in custody for a period of three months – as reported by the malopolska.policja.gov.pl portal. The man was detained last week by officers from Gorlice police.
According to the findings of officers from the County Police Headquarters in Gorlice, the suspect had been subjecting his partner to psychological, physical and economic abuse since 2024, and also caused bodily injury to her.
The collected evidence enabled charges to be brought against the man. The prosecutor subsequently filed a motion with the court to apply a preventive measure, which the court granted. For offences under Article 207 §1 and 157 §2 of the Criminal Code, the suspect faces imprisonment of between three months and five years.
Police remind that persons experiencing domestic violence or those with knowledge of such incidents should immediately notify the services by calling the emergency number 112.
