The Internal Security Agency (ABW) has dismantled a network in Poland engaged in Russian infiltration. Individuals recruited for "extra work" on behalf of Moscow received payment of $200 for participating in anti-Ukrainian protests.
According to Gazeta Wyborcza (wiadomosci.onet.pl/wroclaw/200-dol-za-manifestacje-abw-rozbila-siatke-rosyjskich-wplywow-w-polsce/e9x9epp), recruitment took place via the Telegram messaging application. Those interested were then transported by coach to various cities across the country, where they participated in demonstrations of a nature hostile towards Ukraine.
The ABW operation revealed the mechanism for spreading Russian narratives across Polish territory. The services secured evidence pointing to the organised nature of the activity, including the recruitment system, transport and payment of participants.
The case has an international dimension due to connections with Russian influence structures. This practice constitutes an element of a broader strategy of destabilising the internal situation in countries supporting Ukraine.
