Operation "Single-track" in Lower Silesia: 735 checks, 347 offences and 21 persons under the influence
Lower Silesian police carried out checks on 735 single-track vehicles on Friday 11 September. A total of 347 offences were detected, including 16 drivers under the influence of alcohol and 5 under the influence of drugs.

According to dolnoslaska.policja.gov.pl, on Friday 11 September, officers from the Road Traffic Departments of the Lower Silesian garrison conducted an operation codenamed "Single-track". During the operation, a total of 735 users of single-track vehicles travelling on roads in Lower Silesian Voivodeship were inspected.
The operation covered cyclists, users of electric scooters, motorcyclists and motorised bicycle riders. Officers checked the sobriety of operators, the technical condition of vehicles and the manner of road and pavement usage.
The checks revealed 347 offences committed by single-track vehicle users. Among those apprehended, 16 persons were driving a vehicle after consuming alcohol, and 5 others were under the influence of intoxicating substances.
Police point out that favourable weather conditions translate into a large number of single-track vehicles on Lower Silesian roads, which justifies intensifying controls among this group of road users. Officers have announced the use of all available measures to eliminate dangerous behaviour on the road.
The uniformed officers remind that violations of traffic regulations can lead to accidents, including those with fatal consequences.
