Racially-motivated attack in Płońsk: 400g of amphetamine found in 16-year-old's home
A 16-year-old attacked two Belarusians with tear gas in Płońsk. During a search of his home, police found nearly 400g of amphetamine belonging to his father.

According to ciechanow.cozadzien.pl, on the evening of 10 October, on one of the housing estates in Płońsk, two Belarusian citizens – aged 53 and 33 – were speaking in Russian. A group of teenagers approached them. One of them asked about the interlocutors' nationality, and when he heard the answer, declared that "they don't like such people".
A moment later, the 16-year-old sprayed both men with tear gas and hit the older man on the head with a container. An ambulance took the 53-year-old to hospital.
Police quickly established the identity of the attacker – a resident of Płońsk municipality. The teenager was detained and questioned. His case will go to the Family and Juvenile Court, where he will answer for insulting behaviour and assault with a nationality-based motive.
The intervention, however, revealed a more serious crime. During a search of the 16-year-old's home, officers found a metal bucket containing a bag with white powder in a hallway cabinet. The boy's father, a 46-year-old, initially feigned surprise.
"The man shortly admitted that the drugs belonged to him. He was detained, and his children were placed in the care of family members. Tests confirmed that the seized substance was amphetamine," said Chief Inspector Kinga Drężek-Zmysłowska from Płońsk police.
A total of nearly 400 grams of drugs were seized. At the prosecutor's request, the court applied a three-month remand in custody against the 46-year-old. For possession of a significant quantity of psychotropic substances, he faces up to 10 years' imprisonment.
"This is an example of how one intervention can reveal a completely different, serious crime," assessed Chief Inspector Drężek-Zmysłowska.
