According to Google News PL — Crime (pl), officers of Kutno's criminal division detained a 47-year-old citizen of Azerbaijan suspected of a knife attack on a 32-year-old Georgian. The incident occurred during the night of 22 to 23 August on the territory of Kutno, when a quarrel broke out between the two men.

The assailant inflicted one knife wound to the victim's abdomen, after which he fled the scene. The injured party with a stab wound to the abdomen was taken to hospital in Kutno.

Police immediately commenced operational activities and established the suspect's location. The man was detained on the same day, 23 August, in one of the residential premises within the town.

After evidence was gathered, the 47-year-old was brought to Kutno's prosecutor's office, where he was charged with causing serious bodily harm. At the prosecutor's request, the court applied a three-month remand in custody for the suspect.

For the alleged crime, he faces a prison sentence of up to 20 years.
