CBA searches PZPN. Investigation into Publicon Sport contract
Officers from the Central Anti-Corruption Bureau appeared at the headquarters of the Polish Football Association demanding documents concerning a controversial sponsorship agreement. The prosecutor's office is investigating potential property damage of at least 4 million zlotys.

CBA at federation headquarters
Officers from the Central Anti-Corruption Bureau appeared at PZPN headquarters and demanded documentation regarding a contract with the Wrocław company Publicon Sport — according to sportowefakty.wp.pl. The visit is part of an investigation conducted by the Warsaw-Ochota District Prosecutor's Office into suspicions of causing the PZPN multi-million-zloty property damage.
The Polish Federation confirmed the presence of the anti-corruption service. "We were asked for documentation related to our agreement with Publicon. All documents were made available and the visit ended there," the federation stated. The CBA officially does not disclose the reasons for its actions.
Controversial contract and million-zloty discrepancies
Since 2023, Publicon Sport has handled sponsorship matters for the federation led by Cezary Kulesza. The contract includes a fixed fee of 150,000 zlotys monthly plus high commissions from contracts. Journalists from TVN24 revealed in November 2025 that the company received payment for agreements in which it did not participate — an example being cooperation with InPost, which began before the contract with Publicon Sport was signed.
PZPN rejected the allegations at the time, arguing that the choice of partner proceeded correctly and brought a significant increase in marketing revenues.
Investigation and contract termination
The Warsaw-Ochota District Prosecutor's Office initiated proceedings at the end of August 2026 investigating suspected mismanagement and causing the association property damage valued at at least 4 million zlotys. In January 2026, the federation decided not to renew its cooperation with Publicon Sport, although the existing contract will expire only on 31 July 2027. Without taking action, the contract would have been automatically extended until 2032.
Szymon Sikorski, the president of Publicon Sport, could not be reached for comment regarding the CBA's actions.
