CBA agents detained a 45-year-old prison guard in the Łódź voivodeship. The man was charged with exceeding his authority after official documents removed from the prison were found in his residence.

Officers of the Central Anti-Corruption Bureau detained a 45-year-old working as a prison guard. The operation was carried out in one of the localities in the Łódź voivodeship.
Before the detention, agents searched the suspect's residence. During the operation, official records were found there that the man had taken from the remand prison, despite having no authorisation to do so.
At this stage of the investigation, the detainee was charged with exceeding his authority. However, as investigators emphasise, the case is in its development phase and further actions are anticipated from the prosecutor's office together with the CBA.
This is not the first detention in this matter. In November of last year, the bureau detained two other guards from the remand prison in Łódź. According to established facts, they accepted bribes in exchange for providing detainees with, among other things, mobile phones, narcotics and steroids.
