During a search of a flat occupied by a young man from the Lubliniec area, officers uncovered almost one and a half kilogrammes of cannabis. The suspect was charged with unlawful possession of a large quantity of controlled substances. The court ordered his pre-trial detention.
Detectives from the local police station had been working on the case for some time. Their findings suggested that the suspect may have been dealing or storing significant quantities of narcotics. As a result of the operation carried out in the residential premises, officers found not only dried plant material but also equipment used for weighing and packaging goods. Additionally, cash amounting to more than seven thousand zlotys was seized, which will be deducted towards any potential penalties.
The prosecutor charged him with possession of a significant quantity of narcotic substances. Due to the risk of flight or obstruction of proceedings, the court imposed pre-trial detention on the man in his twenties for a period of ninety days. This type of offence carries a severe prison sentence under the law.
