A man from the Chrzanów district deliberately blocked the road of another driver, causing a collision. It emerged that he had been subject to a lifetime driving ban for years.

Officers from the Libiąż police station have detained a resident of the town who is suspected of intentionally causing a road accident. The District Court in Chrzanów decided to remand him in custody for three months.
The incident occurred in the Libiąż area. Evidence gathered by investigators indicates that the 27-year-old was driving a Mercedes and deliberately blocked the road of a BMW, causing a collision between the two vehicles. He then left the scene of the accident.
During the investigation, it emerged that the man had long been subject to a lifetime ban on driving motor vehicles ordered by the judiciary. Additionally, he violated a court order to maintain distance from one of the injured parties.
Law enforcement officers from Libiąż immediately began searching for the perpetrator. The detainee was taken to the prosecutor's office and court in Chrzanów. The judiciary approved the request of investigators and the prosecutor, imposing a three-month remand on him.
The suspect has been charged with, among other things, endangering two people to direct risk of loss of life or serious bodily harm under article 160 of the penal code. He has also been charged with failure to comply with a court ban on driving vehicles and breach of an order to maintain distance.
The investigation is being conducted by officers from Libiąż under the supervision of the District Prosecutor's Office in Chrzanów.
