Fake masseur from Ciepice spa arrested by police
According to RMF24, the incident occurred during one of the August weekends at the spa in Ciepice in Lower Silesia. A 56-year-old man took advantage of staff inattention and entered a room occupied by two guests. He introduced himself as a masseur employed by the facility and offered to perform a massage.
One of the women agreed to the service. During the massage, the man allegedly touched the woman in intimate areas, according to police. When the victim firmly protested, the perpetrator stopped and left the room.
Officers from the Jelenia Góra police station immediately began analysing surveillance camera recordings, which allowed them to quickly identify the suspect. The arrest took place when the 56-year-old was moving around the spa grounds on a single-track vehicle – completely unprepared for police intervention.
The man was charged with committing another sexual act. He was placed under police supervision. If investigators determine that he has committed similar acts before, he faces up to eight years imprisonment. The court will decide on the further fate of the suspect.
On the occasion of this case, police appeal to people using services at sanatoriums, hotels and other leisure facilities to ensure each time that the person offering a service is an actual employee of the facility or possesses appropriate credentials.
