Fake masseur from Karkonosze arrested following assault at health resort in Cieplice
A 56-year-old man posed as a masseur and touched a patient in intimate areas at a sanatorium in Cieplice. Police in Jelenia Góra detained him following analysis of surveillance footage.

According to Google News PL — Crime, officers from Police Precinct II in Jelenia Góra detained a 56-year-old resident of Karkonosze county suspected of committing an indecent act against a patient staying at one of the health resort facilities in Cieplice.
The incident occurred on an August weekend evening. The man appeared on the sanatorium premises and — taking advantage of staff inattention — entered a room occupied by two women. He introduced himself as a masseur employed at the sanatorium and offered to perform a massage.
One of the women accepted the offer. However, the man's behaviour soon aroused her suspicion: during the massage, he touched her in intimate areas. When she protested firmly, he stopped the activity and fled the room.
The victim immediately reported the incident to police. Officers began analysing footage from surveillance cameras positioned around the health resort. Based on the gathered material, they quickly identified the suspect.
Detention took place at a moment when the 56-year-old least expected it — he was riding a motorcycle around the health resort. He was taken to a police holding cell and subsequently brought before the District Prosecutor's Office in Jelenia Góra.
There he was charged with committing an indecent act. The prosecutor applied a preventive measure in the form of police supervision. If it emerges that he committed similar acts on other occasions, he faces a sentence of up to eight years imprisonment. A court will decide on the further fate of the suspect.
Officers took the opportunity to remind the public that when using services offered at sanatoriums, hotels and other recreational facilities, one should ensure that the person offering the service is genuinely an employee of the establishment or possesses appropriate credentials. In the event of any suspicious behaviour, the facility's staff should be informed immediately, and in case of threat — police should be called.
