Another arrest in Zondacrypto case – PiS marshal in prosecutor's custody
In the case of cryptocurrency platform Zondacrypto, another person has been arrested – a marshal affiliated with PiS. The information was reported by Google News PL.
PiS marshal arrested in Zondacrypto case
Google News PL reports another arrest in the investigation into cryptocurrency platform Zondacrypto – this time a marshal of the Lublin Voivodeship affiliated with Law and Justice has been placed in prosecutor's custody.
Information about the arrest appeared almost simultaneously in several newsrooms – WP Wiadomości, Wiadomości Onet and fakt.pl. Some media outlets cited testimony from Kral, which is said to incriminate another PiS politician. The person in question allegedly commented on the matter with the words: "My personal secret".
However, Kurier Lubelski reported that "information about the arrest of the Lublin Voivodeship marshal has not been confirmed", indicating discrepancies between reports from various media outlets and official statements.
Rzeczpospolita, meanwhile, noted that the PiS politician has become a target of the prosecutor and maintains close relations with Piesiewicz – one of the people arrested earlier in this case. The words of the politician cited by the newspaper were: "My secret".
The Zondacrypto case forms part of a broader investigation in which the prosecutor's office is examining activities related to the cryptocurrency platform. Previous arrests have already involved several people, and testimony from further suspects is said to lead to further findings.
