The wanted 38-year-old was to have spent over a year earlier in a correctional facility for abuse and threats. The Department for Combating Drug Crime became involved in the case.
Due to the man's criminal history and the possibility of possession of dangerous items, police officers from the Independent Counter-Terrorism Unit of the Police in Gorzów Wielkopolski were directed to carry out the detention. Entry to the apartment was carried out by force.
Amphetamine, marijuana and other substances were secured at the apartment, which are to be checked for legality. Two men were detained: a 38-year-old wanted man and his 31-year-old acquaintance.
Both were charged with possession of a significant quantity of narcotics — a crime punishable by up to 10 years in prison. The prosecutor applied police supervision towards the younger man. The older of the detained men was sent directly to a correctional facility, where he will serve over a year of a sentence imposed for previous crimes.
