A 42-year-old man from Radom will be held in custody in the coming period. The court imposed temporary detention for three months after police officers from the local drug trafficking unit discovered significant quantities of banned substances at his address.
Officers, conducting operational activities, identified this resident on suspicion of possessing narcotic substances. During a search of his residential premises together with adjoining spaces – a garage and basement – nearly half a kilogram of drugs was found. Among the seized goods were, amongst others, amphetamine and marijuana.
The man was detained and placed in police custody. He subsequently appeared before the prosecutor, who charged him with possession of a significant quantity of narcotic substances. This offence carries a severe penalty – imprisonment of up to ten years.
By court order the suspect was remanded in custody for a period of three months.
