A drunk 28-year-old hit a clergyman on the head, then attacked the sexton who tried to defend him. The perpetrator was charged and admitted guilt.

In Choszczna, at the local church dedicated to the Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary, a brutal assault on a clergyman and a lay person took place. A 28-year-old man from Choszczna County, while in a state of significant alcohol intoxication, approached a priest and struck him on the head without any apparent reason.
When the sexton tried to protect the priest, the aggressor overpowered him on the ground. The perpetrator delivered repeated fist blows, and after the victim got up from the ground, kicked him in the head area.
Officers from the local police station quickly apprehended the 28-year-old and took him to the police station. The man admitted to the acts he had committed.
A prosecutor from the local district prosecutor's office, at the request of the head of county police, imposed police supervision on the suspect. Additionally, the court imposed a restraining order preventing him from approaching the victims and a ban on contacting them.
