Drugs and ammunition found in food truck in Łódź – 37-year-old arrested
Police from the Provincial Police Headquarters in Łódź arrested a 37-year-old man suspected of possessing over 2.5 kilograms of drugs hidden in a food truck. The man faces up to 20 years in prison.

According to lodzka.policja.gov.pl, officers from the Department for Combating Drug Crime at the Provincial Police Headquarters in Łódź arrested a 37-year-old man on 7 July 2026 in the early morning hours, suspected of possessing a significant quantity of intoxicating substances and preparing them for distribution.
Investigators had previously obtained information that the man might be storing drugs in a food truck standing on a property he was renting. The arrest was carried out with the support of officers from the Independent Counter-Terrorism Unit of the Police in Łódź and a handler with a service dog trained to detect narcotics.
During the search of the property and the food truck parked on it, police officers seized over 2.5 kilograms of intoxicating substances, close to one thousand MDMA tablets, and nearly 500 electronic cigarettes lacking Polish excise marks. They also discovered cash in the amount of 7,840 zloty, ammunition of various calibres, several mobile phones and data storage devices.
In one of the other vehicles on the property, officers additionally found a CB radio, a tomahawk, a machete and two containers with pepper spray.
The arrested man was taken to a police unit where further procedural steps were conducted with him, and he was then placed in a police holding cell for detainees.
The man was charged with possessing a significant quantity of intoxicating and psychoactive substances, preparing them for distribution, and illegal possession of ammunition. These offences carry a sentence of up to 20 years imprisonment.
