Drugs and illegal e-cigarettes in Sępoleńskie district – two people detained
Police officers from Sępólno Krajeńskie detained a 31-year-old man with an arrest warrant and a 29-year-old woman with narcotics. Close to 130 grammes of substance and 139 e-cigarettes without excise marks were seized.
Arrest warrant leads to detention of 31-year-old with narcotics
Officers of the County Police Command in Sępólno Krajeńskie detained on Wednesday, 16 September, a 31-year-old resident of Sępólno Krajeńskie commune who had been evading law enforcement for some time. According to bydgoszcz.tvp.pl, the man's apprehension occurred during a routine check of an arrest warrant – police officers established his whereabouts and detained him at the indicated address.
On the 31-year-old, 11.24 grammes of plant material and 37.71 grammes of psychotropic substance in crystal form were discovered. Both substances were seized and forwarded for further examination.
Search of residence in Więcbork commune
The following day, 17 September, officers from the Criminal Department conducted a search of one of the residences in Więcbork commune. On the 29-year-old woman, 72 grammes of plant material and 8.26 grammes of psychotropic substance in crystal form were found.
During the same intervention, 139 single-use e-cigarettes lacking required excise marks were additionally seized. All seized substances and products were forwarded for further laboratory examination.
Investigation ongoing, court to decide on fate of detainees
Police officers are currently establishing the circumstances of both cases, including the origin of the narcotics and the seized excisable products. The results of the examinations and the gathered evidence will have an impact on the further course of proceedings.
Possession of intoxicating agents or psychotropic substances is a crime punishable by imprisonment of from one year to as many as 10 years. In the case of excisable products, the perpetrators face additional liability under the provisions of the Fiscal Penal Code. The court will decide on the further fate of the detainees.
