During a routine road check, officers stopped a 49-year-old man who was found to be significantly intoxicated, in possession of narcotic substances, and listed in police databases as a wanted person.

Testing showed that the resident of Warmian-Masurian Voivodeship had more than 2 per mille of alcohol in his system. He was also carrying drugs on him, which further worsened his legal situation.

A check in computer systems confirmed that the man was registered as a wanted person. This means that proceedings had previously been initiated against him or a warrant for his arrest had been issued.

The suspect has already been charged. The court decided to apply preventive detention against him. The man remains in police custody pending further court decisions.

The case is being conducted under the supervision of the prosecutor's office. The man will be held accountable for driving under the influence of alcohol, possession of drugs, and earlier obligations related to his wanted status.
