A prosecutor has referred charges against a young man from Gubin to court. The eighteen-year-old is alleged to have committed several offences within the town and surrounding municipality.

According to the investigation's findings, the suspect repeatedly filled up at petrol stations without paying for fuel. The total value of the stolen diesel oil and petrol came to nearly four thousand three hundred zlotys. During these acts, the man drove cars of various makes on which he had mounted registration number plates taken from other vehicles. He failed to stop at one roadside check.

During the proceedings, officers found amphetamine and methamphetamine on him. Additionally, he is accused of receiving a Mercedes Sprinter van, valued at fourteen thousand zlotys, which was stolen property.

The case was handled by the police headquarters in Gubin under the supervision of the prosecutor's office in Krosno Odrzańskie. The decision on guilt and sentencing will now be made by the criminal division of the local district court. He faces up to five years in prison.
