During a check on a passenger train, officers from Tczew detained a man with a large quantity of drugs. The court ordered him to be remanded in custody.

Law enforcement officers from the Tczew police headquarters conducted checks on passenger train carriages. Their aim was, among other things, to detect crimes and remove banned substances from circulation. During one such operation, officers' attention was drawn to a 34-year-old traveller.
The man's behaviour aroused the suspicions of the investigators. During a search, a white substance was found on him. Tests showed it was amphetamine in a quantity close to 18 grammes.
The detainee was placed in a police cell. The next day, investigators brought him to the prosecutor's office, where he was accused of possessing a significant quantity of a narcotic substance. The prosecutor requested the suspect be isolated. The court granted this request and imposed thirty days' remand in custody on him.
For the crime for which the 34-year-old is accused, he faces a prison sentence of up to ten years.
