Drunk driver with four lifetime driving bans detained in Warka
A 43-year-old drove an Opel despite four lifetime driving bans, with more than 1 per mille of alcohol in his system. Narcotics were also found on the man.

Officers from the Prevention Department of the Radom Police conducted a stop on Friday, 3 July, of a 43-year-old resident of Warka who was driving an Opel vehicle despite four lifetime bans on operating motor vehicles – according to mazowiecka.policja.gov.pl.
The intervention took place around 16:00 in the Warka area of Grójecko county. The man's driving manner aroused the suspicion of officers, who stopped the vehicle for a traffic check.
A sobriety test showed more than 1 per mille of alcohol in the driver's system. A check in police databases revealed that the 43-year-old was subject to four lifetime bans on operating all motor vehicles. During further proceedings, officers additionally found narcotic substances on him. Blood was also taken for laboratory testing for substances acting similarly to alcohol.
The man was placed in a police cell. His further fate will be decided by the court.
For failure to comply with a court driving ban, a sentence of up to 5 years imprisonment is possible. Additionally, the 43-year-old will face charges for driving whilst intoxicated and – if laboratory tests confirm the nature of the seized substances – for possession of narcotic substances.
