Drunken police officer and soldier detained – incidents in Warsaw and Tymbark
Services intervened against two uniformed officials under the influence of alcohol within a single day. A police officer assaulted a security guard, and a soldier damaged four cars and the doors of a police station.

According to Google News PL — Crime, Polish services had to intervene twice within the last day against officers who were off duty. A 26-year-old police officer was detained in Warsaw, and a 20-year-old professional soldier was detained in Tymbark in the Małopolskie Voivodeship. Both men were acting under the influence of alcohol.
Police officer on guarded housing estate in Białołęka
The first incident occurred during the night from Friday to Saturday on one of Warsaw's housing estates in the Białołęka district. Officers called to the scene established that the perpetrator was a 26-year-old police officer from a police station subordinate to the District Police Headquarters Warsaw VI.
The man assaulted a security worker and committed property damage. Even though the perpetrator turned out to be a colleague from the profession, officers carried out all procedures in accordance with applicable regulations.
The police officer refused to submit to a breathalyser test, so blood was taken from him for laboratory testing. A test for the presence of narcotic substances came back negative. The man reported health complaints and was transported to hospital. Blood testing revealed 0.5 mg/l of alcohol in his system.
Soldier jumped on police cars in Tymbark
The second incident took place in the town of Tymbark in the Małopolskie Voivodeship. At around 3:50 a.m., in front of the building of the local police station, a 20-year-old man, whilst in a state of intoxication, jumped on parked vehicles — including police patrol cars.
According to the findings of the Małopolskie police, the soldier caused damage to four cars and the entrance doors of the police station. Testing revealed 1.5 per mille of alcohol in his system.
The man served in the Podhale Rifles Battalion. The case was referred to the Military Police. Before 12:00, the Military Police Unit in Kraków issued a statement confirming that at the time of detention the soldier was in a state of intoxication. "Proceedings are underway to clarify the circumstances of this incident," the statement read.
