Police summarise school operations

According to wydarzenia.interia.pl, the situation in Polish educational facilities has stabilised. Police have not recorded any further attacks or new arrests in recent days.

Since the start of the operation, 238,000 inspections have been carried out in schools across Poland. Officers have arrested 194 people to date, and 519 incidents requiring action based on reasonable suspicion of a criminal offence have been recorded.

Police confirm that security operations are continuing. Officers monitor the internet around the clock and respond to every report concerning educational facilities. The aim is to ensure the safety of children, young people and school staff.

The operation began following a series of attacks in October. A 19-year-old wounded nine people with a knife in Ostrołęka, also possessing explosive materials. In Leszczydole-Nowinach, a 15-year-old attacked three people, including a school employee who died. In Warsaw, a 21-year-old wounded three further people. Police also thwarted a probable attack in Sierpc, where a 17-year-old threatened an attack on a school.
