Lublin police arrested 112 wanted persons in two-day operation
Lublin police arrested 112 persons wanted by red notices and arrest warrants. Officers checked over 1,200 locations, including hostels for foreign nationals.

According to Google News PL — Crime (pl), during a two-day operation, police officers from Lublin Voivodeship arrested 112 persons wanted by, among other things, red notices and orders to bring them to prisons and penal institutions.
Details of the operation were provided on Tuesday by a spokesperson for Lublin police, Deputy Superintendent Anna Kamola. Of the 112 arrested, nine were on red notices — the remainder were suspects, accused persons, or those convicted by final court judgements. Among those apprehended were Polish citizens, one Ukrainian citizen, and one Nepalese citizen.
Officers checked a total of over 1,200 locations and addresses, including hostels for foreign nationals.
As an example, Deputy Superintendent Kamola pointed to the arrest of a married couple who had been in hiding in the Podkarpackie region. The couple had been sought for numerous frauds in applications for EU subsidies. The woman, sentenced to 11 months in prison, also has other non-final judgements against her. Her husband was released after procedural actions were completed.
"The officers completely surprised the couple and arrested them in Rzeszów. The woman initially even simulated a heart attack, but doctors quickly ruled out her health concerns, allowing her to be detained," Deputy Superintendent Kamola said.
Among those arrested was also a 33-year-old wanted by a red notice for escaping from prison in Chełm in 2023, where he was serving a sentence for failure to pay maintenance. The man had been in hiding until his sentence became final — he will now spend six months in a penal institution.
Officers also arrested a 43-year-old sentenced to two years in prison for driving under the influence of alcohol in conditions of recidivism.
"Those captured by police officers were taken to pre-trial detention centres or penal institutions, where they are serving the sentences and preventive measures imposed on them," added the spokesperson for Lublin police.
