Police recover two vehicles stolen in Germany
Thanks to Polish-German cooperation and information exchange, officers from Lubsk secured a Volkswagen passenger car and a trailer stolen in Germany. The vehicles were found in Żary County.

Lubuskie Police confirmed that officers from Żary County recovered two vehicles stolen in Germany. According to lubuska.policja.gov.pl, the vehicles were found hidden in Poland as a result of effective information exchange between the services.
On Sunday, 20 September, police officers from the Police Station in Lubsk discovered a Volkswagen passenger car abandoned in a forest complex. The vehicle was not listed in police systems as stolen, but the suspicious location prompted the officers to contact the Polish-German Centre for Cooperation of Border, Police and Customs Services in Słubice. The Centre confirmed that notification of the theft of this vehicle in Germany had just been received. The car was secured.
Two days later, on Tuesday, 22 September, police officers received information about a trailer stolen in Germany that was said to be in Lubsk. Officers located and secured the trailer.
Cooperation with the Słubice centre allows officers from Żary to respond effectively to cross-border crime and recover stolen property.
