Officers from the Warsaw district of Ochota arrested a 43-year-old man and a 28-year-old woman suspected of attempted fraud on a large scale. The pair attempted to obtain a loan of 58,000 zloty.
Investigators established that a forged notarial deed was to be used to conclude the loan agreement. The document was intended to serve as security for the financial transaction.
Police intervention occurred at the appropriate moment, before the perpetrators managed to carry out their plan to defraud the funds. Both arrested individuals were charged with attempted fraud and use of a forged document.
The case is being handled by officers from the police station in Warsaw's Ochota district. The prosecutor will decide on further proceedings against the arrested individuals.
