On Friday before 8 p.m., a patrol noticed a man in Kraków on a motorbike riding in a dangerous manner — with one tyre on the road. When the officers signalled him to stop, the driver ignored the order and began to flee.

The pursuit ended at the intersection of Węgrzynowicka and Spławy streets, where the service vehicle veered off the bend from an embankment straight onto the tracks. As a result of the accident, the officer driving the vehicle sustained serious injuries and was transported by LPR helicopter to hospital in serious condition. His colleague, who was travelling as a passenger, also received medical care, though his condition was determined to be stable.

The fleeing man abandoned the motorbike and attempted to escape on foot, but another patrol caught up with him. According to accounts provided by Polsat News, the perpetrator had for some time been terrorising the area with his aggressive driving, which caused fear among local residents. In the coming days, the man was to appear before the prosecutor.

A representative of the Kraków police headquarters confirmed that incidents involving this motorcyclist had been recurring for a longer period of time.
