Police officer from Bolesławiec shot dead during intervention – suspect remanded in custody
29-year-old Sergeant Natan Sieroń died in hospital after being shot by a 33-year-old man in Kraśnik Górny. The court remanded the suspect in custody for three months.

According to RMF24, the Bolesławiec district court has ordered the remand in custody of a man who on Thursday fatally shot a police officer during an intervention in Kraśnik Górny near Bolesławiec in Lower Silesia.
The incident occurred at around 11:00 on one of the properties in the village. Officers from the District Police Headquarters in Bolesławiec were conducting proceedings against a 33-year-old man suspected of theft. At some point, the man drew a weapon and fired a shot at one of the police officers.
The wounded officer, in a critical condition, was taken to hospital. On Friday before noon, the prosecutor brought charges against the 33-year-old for attempted murder, active assault on a police officer, and illegal possession of a firearm. The suspect admitted to the charges and gave a statement.
That same evening, the Police National Headquarters announced the death of the shot police officer. 29-year-old Sergeant Natan Sieroń from the District Police Headquarters in Bolesławiec did not survive. The prosecutor's office announced that the charges would be changed to murder.
The decision was announced by the spokeswoman of the District Prosecutor's Office in Jelenia Góra, Prosecutor Ewa Węglarowicz-Makowska.
The 33-year-old resident of Kraśnik Górny had been previously convicted by courts multiple times in Germany. In 2024, his case was examined by a court in Bautzen in connection with an offence involving illegal export or import of a firearm, its parts and ammunition.
