The body of a 64-year-old woman was found on Friday in a house in Borków. Her 65-year-old acquaintance became the suspect. Hundreds of officers, including counter-terrorism specialists and dog handlers, conducted a two-day search. The man was apprehended in a forest near Kielce.

The body of a 64-year-old woman was found on Friday in one of the houses in Borków. Investigators quickly established that a 65-year-old man was the last person who could have had contact with her. A large-scale search operation was launched in which a total of 591 officers from various units participated.
The operation involved criminal investigators, uniformed patrol police, traffic police, counter-terrorism specialists, tactical response units from Kielce and Łódź, and dog handlers with service dogs. A helicopter and drones were used in the operation. Forest areas, difficult-to-access terrain and buildings were searched.
On Sunday before dawn, after six o'clock, officers from the Municipal Police Command in Kielce found the suspect in a forest complex in the vicinity of Białogon. The man offered no resistance. Due to his health condition, he was provided with medical assistance, after which he was formally detained.
On Sunday, procedural actions were carried out with his participation. He was charged with murder. A day later, the court decided on a three-month pre-trial detention on the prosecutor's motion.
Details concerning the circumstances of the woman's death are not being disclosed due to the interests of the ongoing proceedings.
