Chase involving driver under the influence of marijuana in Jaśle – Honda stopped in Siepietnicy
A 48-year-old from the Śląskie Voivodeship did not stop for inspection and fled through several towns. A drugs test revealed the presence of marijuana in his body.

Escape from traffic police ends with stop on national road "28"
According to podkarpacka.policja.gov.pl, on Sunday last week after 22:00, officers from the traffic division in Jaśle checked the speed of a Honda on Mickiewicza Street. The driver had exceeded the speed limit by 31 km/h.
When the police officer signalled the vehicle to stop, the man initially slowed down, then suddenly accelerated, swerved around the officer and headed towards the city centre.
The officers immediately gave chase, informing the duty officer and other patrols of the vehicle's direction. The driver turned towards Jareniówka, then fled through Trzcinnica, Opacie, Bączal Dolny and Górny, Jabłonica and Święcany.
On national road No. 28 in Siepietnicy, officers managed to overtake the Honda and block its path. The officers approached the vehicle and pulled out the man sitting behind the wheel.
The detainee turned out to be a 48-year-old resident of the Śląskie Voivodeship. A breathalyser test showed no presence of alcohol, but a drugs test indicated marijuana. Blood was taken from the man for further laboratory tests.
During the escape, the driver posed a danger to traffic: he did not signal turning manoeuvres, did not comply with a continuous double line or a roundabout sign, and the Honda was found to be technically defective.
The officers took the 48-year-old to the Jaśle police headquarters. The man lost his driving licence and the vehicle's registration document. The Regional Court in Jaśle will decide on the criminal consequences for the offences and violations committed.
