Radom: man arrested with half a kilogram of drugs remanded in custody

A 42-year-old resident of Radom was arrested by officers from the anti-drug division. During a search of the suspect's premises, police officers discovered and secured almost 550 grammes of narcotic substances. The court decided on a three-month remand in custody.

Officers from the City Police Headquarters in Radom, engaged in combating the trafficking of psychoactive substances, arrested a city resident aged 42. Actions carried out by the law enforcement officers led to the discovery of a significant consignment of narcotic substances.

During a search of a residential premises, an adjoining garage and a cellar, officers secured a total of nearly half a kilogram of drugs. Among the substances found were amphetamine and marijuana, among others.

The detained man was placed in a cell for persons deprived of liberty. He subsequently received a charge at the prosecutor's office relating to the possession of significant quantities of narcotic substances. The district court decided to impose remand in custody on him for a period of the next three months.

The offence with which he is charged carries a sentence of up to ten years' imprisonment.
