Warsaw: 36-year-old detained with 48 kg of drugs
Warsaw police discovered more than 48 kg of narcotics in the flat of a suspect man, including 30 kg of cannabis and 12 kg of cathinone. The detained man is awaiting trial in custody.
Drug dealer detained in Warsaw
Officers from the Capital Police Headquarters arrested a 36-year-old man suspected of drug trafficking. According to ksp.policja.gov.pl, the man had in his possession more than 48 kilograms of various narcotic substances, which police officers secured during operations in Warsaw.
Police officers from the Department for Asset Recovery and the Criminal Division had been monitoring the man for a period of time. The operational activities led to the arrest of the 36-year-old at the moment when he was placing a bag containing two kilograms of cannabis into a car. Officers conducted a search of his flat.
Drugs and equipment seized
In the suspect's flat, more than 30 kilograms of cannabis, almost 12 kilograms of cathinone, close to 5 kilograms of 4-CMC and almost one kilogram of cocaine were secured. The narcotics were hidden in various places — in the fridge, kitchen cupboards, bedside tables in the bedroom and in the bed box.
Officers also found equipment used for portioning and packaging narcotics: heat sealers for vacuum-seal packaging foil, packs with rolls of string foil, kitchen scales, bags and plastic bags for shipments. Cash totalling 3,200 złoty was also secured.
Court proceedings
The 36-year-old was charged with possession of a significant quantity of narcotic substances and with introducing and preparing to introduce them into circulation. On the motion of the Warsaw-Wola Prosecutor's Office, the court applied temporary detention in custody against the man. The case is being overseen by the Warsaw-Wola District Prosecutor's Office.
