Police officers have detained three men of Ukrainian origin. They are suspected of involvement in an assault that took place in the city centre of Bytów in Pomeranian Voivodeship.
The victim of the attack was a 36-year-old man. As a result of the injuries he sustained, he was admitted to a medical facility, where he ultimately died.
In connection with the victim's death, the prosecution authorities are analysing the possibility of upgrading the charge. Should the prosecutor decide to pursue this course of action, those detained could face a murder charge, for which the criminal code provides for a sentence of up to 15 years imprisonment.
