According to o2.pl, 25 years after the mysterious disappearance of Andrzej Dziamski, the prosecutor's office has announced a breakthrough in the investigation. Łukasz Wawrzyniak, the press spokesman for the Regional Prosecutor's Office in Poznań, confirmed that investigators have established both the sequence of events and the identities of those responsible for the man's disappearance.
The breakthrough resulted from meticulous analytical work by police officers from the Provincial Police Headquarters in Poznań and prosecutors from the Regional Prosecutor's Office in Poznań. A renewed analysis of the accumulated evidence materials made it possible to reconstruct the sequence of events in the case.
Andrzej Dziamski was an entrepreneur — a mechanic and spare-parts trader. On 18 April 2001, he left his home by car and did not return. Shortly afterwards, his car was found near Poznań with traces of gunshot wounds.
The abductors subsequently contacted the man's family and demanded a ransom. Contact was quickly lost, and the case remained unsolved for over two decades. Detailed information concerning the investigators' findings was provided by Prosecutor Wawrzyniak in a video material published by PAP.
