A man has been arrested in Łódź on suspicion of drug trafficking. Significant quantities of marijuana, amphetamine and MDMA tablets were discovered in his catering vehicle.

Police in Łódź have detained a 37-year-old local resident who, according to investigators, was involved in a criminal network engaged in drug distribution. During searches of his vehicles and residential premises, officers discovered narcotic substances stored in a food truck.
In the catering vehicle, which was parked at the suspect's place of residence, more than two and a half kilograms of marijuana were found along with amphetamine. Nearly a thousand ecstasy pills, money and items used in the sale of drugs were also secured. Additionally, the man had ammunition stored at home without possessing the appropriate permit.
The case is being handled by the District Prosecutor's Office in Łódź and covers the activities of a group of people engaged in large-scale trafficking of narcotic and psychotropic substances in the city. Five other people have already been arrested in the same investigation. The total quantities of drugs secured so far are significantly higher than those found with the 37-year-old.
The charges include possession of significant quantities of prohibited substances, preparations for their sale and illegal storage of ammunition. These offences carry a penalty of up to ten years imprisonment.
