Man arrested for construction fraud in Włocławek – defrauded 10,000 zloty advance
A 30-year-old from the Aleksandrów district has been arrested after defrauding 10,000 zloty for construction work. He faces up to 8 years in prison.

Man arrested for defrauding advance payment for construction work
According to radziejow.policja.gov.pl, police officers dealing with economic crime have arrested a 30-year-old from the Aleksandrów district, suspected of fraud. In September of last year, he entered into a contract with a resident of the Radziejów district to carry out construction work, after which he collected a 10,000 zloty advance and failed to complete the job.
The victim testified that the man stopped answering his phone calls and broke off all contact with him. Officers established that the suspect was in Włocławek, where he was arrested.
The 30-year-old admitted his guilt — he confirmed that he had accepted the money with no intention of fulfilling the contract. Police officers presented him with a charge of fraud.
Under the criminal code, this offence is punishable by a sentence of between 6 months and 8 years imprisonment. Additionally, the suspect will be required to return the defrauded 10,000 zloty.
