A member of the Territorial Defence Force to whom prosecutors have brought charges of intelligence activities for the benefit of Russia participated in a provocation against a law firm providing services to Ukrainian citizens.

Jarosław K. was first detained by officers of the Internal Security Agency at the end of March. At the Poznań district prosecutor's office, he heard charges brought under criminal provisions concerning espionage. However, the judge rejected the request to place the suspect in detention. He decided to apply milder restrictions: confiscation of an identity document preventing crossing the border, a reporting obligation, and supervision by officials. Proceedings in this matter are ongoing.

Recently, the same man appeared in a recording from a building in Poznań, where together with an activist from the circle of Janusz Korwin-Mikke he attempted to force his way into the ProLegalization law office. The provocation concerned the alleged support by the firm's employees of historical figures associated with the nationalist movement in Ukraine. The two intruders also appealed to the university that let the premises to the company requesting intervention.

The office, which became the target of the assault, helps foreigners legalise their residence and set up businesses. Police officers detained two participants of the incident and brought charges of defamation against them.

Similar initiatives by self-appointed "patrols" were previously observed at Warsaw's Central Station.
